About Raqsh

Raqsh started with a simple idea; that some old stories are worth keeping close. We grew up on Umm Kulthum's voice filling the room and tales of Scheherazade told late into the night, art and old stories shaping us long before we made jewelry. That feeling is what we chase in every piece,  something old, told a new way.

We're drawn to gemstones especially, no two stones catch the light quite the same way, and that's the point. That's also why our pieces are made in limited numbers. Once a design is gone, it doesn't come back the same way twice. Nothing here is meant to sit in a drawer — it's meant to be worn, noticed, and become the reason someone starts a conversation with you.

رقش بدت بفكرة بسيطة — إن بعض القصص القديمة تستاهل نحافظ عليها. كبرنا وصوت أم كلثوم يملي البيت، وقصص شهرزاد تنقال لين وقت متأخر بالليل، والفن والقصص القديمة شكّلت شخصيتنا قبل لا نبدأ نسوي مجوهرات. هذا الإحساس اللي نحس فيه لما نصمم أي قطعة — شي قديم، نتصوره بطريقة جديدة.

نحب الأحجار الكريمة بشكل خاص — ما فيه حجرين يعكسون الضوء بنفس الطريقة، وهذا بالضبط اللي نبيه. عشان جذي نسوي قطعنا بكميات محدودة. لما يخلص التصميم، ما يرجع بنفس الشكل مرة ثانية. ولا شي هني نسويه عشان ينحط بالدرج، كل قطعة تنلبس، تنلاحظ، وتصير سبب يبدأ فيه أحد حديث وياك.
